If you write for dogs, you can write additional books on special dietary needs to keep your poodle, dachshund, Yorkshire terrier, pug, or Chihuahua healthy and happy, and sell them to the respective buyers of your previous books on those breeds.

At the same time, if you’re writing books with recipes around certain foods, you can focus on different foods in turn.  The same can be done with ethnic cuisines.

3) The benefit of doing both

If you’re wondering which approach is better,  why not combine them and do both!  That way you can capture new audiences and sell more books to the people who’ve been buying from you before.  It’s a win-win all around.

Kindle books can make you quite a bit of money, just from the royalties.  But that’s barely scratching the surface. If you play your cards right, you can make a whole lot more from your Kindle books.

How do you do that? By using your Kindle books strategically. 

1) Get the contact information of your buyers

That’s easier said than done.  If you sell books online yourself, your shopping cart system usually captures the contact information for you and adds it right into your autoresponder, such as Aweber or Constant Contact.

Amazon is pretty stingy with giving out customer contact information, so it can be tough to get your buyers’ info.

If you have a manuscript in your desk drawer or on your hard drive, you won’t have a problem creating content. But what if you are starting from scratch? 

Consider the following four alternative ways to get content for your project — without having to write it yourself, or at least while keeping the need for writing it yourself at a bare minimum.

1) Hire a ghostwriter

The first method would be to get someone else to write your book.  Ghostwriters are in the business to write for others. They provide the original content, which is then published under your name.

The drawback is that ghostwriters will typically expect to be paid upfront. Their fees can range from a few dollars per page to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on their experience, the topic, and the research they’ll have to undertake on your behalf.

You can find ghostwriters in places like the Warrior Forum or in various sites where people offer freelance services, from elance.com, odesk.com, and shelancers.com. Make sure to ask for samples, as often people billing themselves as writers have never written anything more extensive than an email to their mother.

2) Use PLR products

Another option is to use PLR products to create your own book.  PLR stands for Private Label Rights, and it means that you get the right to use the product as your own.

While you technically have the rights to use the PLR products as is, that’s not a good idea.  Sooner or later, someone will discover a duplicate product, and while you’re within your rights, it does make you look bad.  At the very least, you’d have to fess up about having used a PLR product.

So rewrite it, add more content, move things around, and make the resulting product your own. This will also help you compete with others who have bought the same product.

3) Use public domain products

The third option is to use public domain products, i.e., books and other materials that are in the public domain.  This means that either there is no copyright, such as in the event of certain government publications, or that the copyright has expired.

You do have to be careful with public domain works.  While you have the right to republish, you do not have the right to present yourself as the author.  For example, one edition of Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” is in the public domain. It has been republished numerous times, in various edited formats, but Hill is always credited as the original author. You can absolutely not republish “Think and Grow Rich” and claim authorship.

The same is true of literary works.  A lot of classic poetry is in the public domain. You can edit a volume of poetry, but you must give credit to the original authors.  You’re just the editor and publisher, and, of course, you get to sell the resulting book and keep the profits.

4) Dictate it.

Many people who consider themselves lousy writers would be the first to tell you they’ve been blessed with the gift of gab. Remember that communication is communication, and in this day and age there are many tools to help you translate your speaking skill into excellent written communication. For example, you can use speech recognition software such as Dragon and have your words transcribed directly. You could record an audio of yourself and send it to a transcriptionist (check shelancers.com or odesk.com), or you could transcribe it yourself. Many popular writers such as Scott Stratten (“Unmarketing”) use this method for writing their traditionally published books. If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for you!

As you can see, you have several options to get the content of a book you want to publish on Kindle, or anywhere else.  Just be sure you are clear about the rules for each option, and follow them carefully.

Maybe you’ve had a book inside you all along and now you have the opportunity to get it out there and share it with the world.  But chances are that you’re like most people and are intimidated by the idea of writing a book. Here are a few ideas that should make the task a lot less daunting than it might seem at first sight.

1) It doesn’t have to be “book-length”

Here’s the first and probably most encouraging part:  your Kindle book does not have to be what you would consider “book-length.”  Not even close.

You’re ready and willing to write a Kindle book, but you’re wondering what you should write about.  Here are a few ideas for how to decide on good topics.

1) Start your research on Amazon.com

The first step should be to do some research.  Take a look at the bestseller lists within your broad category, and then take a look at the sub-categories that interest you the most.

Check what is selling well.  Chances are that these are hot topics, and so if you write a Kindle book with an intriguing title, it will likely attract an audience.

Obviously, you also want to explore the Kindle store.  Again, check out the hot sellers, and see if any of those give you ideas about what you could contribute that’s not quite covered yet but should be.

Start with planning the decorations, foods, and activities.  Depending on the occasion, you might even be able to plan the guest lists. Party planning, like any business or job, will have its ups and downs.  Some parties will naturally be more fun and easier to plan than others, but with a little practice and patience you’ll learn quickly how to work with any situation.  There is still a high demand for people who can take the pressure off of parents by planning their family events.  Outline your business plan and start small.  You’ll be busier than you ever imagined in no time, and making the kind of money you had only dreamed about!

To become a puppet master you’ll only need a few things, you’ll need a small group of friends that enjoy working with puppets as you do, who are willing to do skits, plays and shows with you. A great imagination will go far in the few things you need too.

To find puppets you can go to online auction sites, puppet stores (online or in a local town near you) or ask friends and family. You’ll want to create short stories or skits that are easily adaptable to the puppets you have available. Building your puppet stage is next.  An easy to carry, portable stage is a must. It can be as simple as a long wooden dowel set up with a curtain over some step ladders or get creative and have different type stages for different puppet programs.

You’ll need to get together to practice as often as possible. Your skits will depend on the puppet characters you have. Once you are comfortable with your skits and routines, it’s time to get your puppet show marketed.

Begin by offering free skits to children’s groups, libraries, church groups, children’s hospitals, and other groups that would appreciate a puppet show. Once people see how talented your group is, they’ll be calling you back, this time to entertain for a party or carnival as a paid entertainer.

To begin with, you’ll need to know the basics of juggling, of course. You can learn the basics from someone who already juggles, you can get a book from the library, or you can go online and find a website that shows you how to get started. Start with three tennis balls or bean bags that are approximately the size of tennis balls.

In addition to juggling balls some jugglers use small disks similar to an small Frisbee with more opened edges. You can also use what look like bowling pins, though juggler’s pins are a different weight than regular bowling pins. You’ll want to have the basics of juggling down before attempting to use anything other than round balls, though, since these are more difficult to juggle. It’s easiest to start with the tennis balls and work your way up.

Once you’ve learned the basics of juggling you’ll develop your own personal style and routines. You may want to juggle alone or you may prefer to have a friend join you. Many juggling routines easily lend themselves to two people.  After you’ve mastered the basics, you can branch out and learn how to do more advanced techniques.

Don’t feel you have to wait until you’re a professional to start looking for juggling gigs. Make it fun when you mess up, act as if it’s all part of the act and no one will think anything of it when you—literally—drop the ball.

Once you understand the basics and feel comfortable juggling in front of others, it’s time to spread the word that you’re for hire. You can start by asking friends and family to spread the word, then post some flyers with a photo of you juggling and giving details about your availability for children’s birthday parties and events.

You don’t need any kind of special equipment.  Most times the client will provide you with the items you’ll need to take care of the cleaning such as plastic bags, boxes, brooms, garbage cans, and storage containers.

Besides sweeping and getting the garbage out, another thing you’ll want to do when you clean a garage or basement is to neatly arrange and organize whatever is left that your client is keeping. This can be a challenge, but it’ll be something the client will appreciate—and it can bring you extra business down the road because you “went that extra mile” and helped really get their cluttered area looking nice.

You’ll need to make sure you follow the instructions given by the client. They’ll need to tell you what they want to keep and what they want to get rid of, and of course, you’ll want to do as they ask. They may have a recycling area, so you’ll need to watch where you dispose of those particular items.

During the cleaning process, be sure you’re careful about how you handle things. The clutter may have made it difficult to reach some items and may have some things perched rather dangerously.  Also, be careful about the conditions you’ll be working in, because you may find certain things that may be a health concern. There may be pesticides, paints, and other toxins.  Never be afraid to tell your client if you feel uncomfortable working with certain items. Your safety is important.

Wear gloves whenever possible to protect your hands. Wear good, solid shoes as there may be nails and other sharp objects.  You may also be climbing up and down a ladder so sandals are a no no. Pay attention to your surroundings so you don’t hurt yourself.  If something does happen, be sure to let your client know immediately so you can have the wound cared for properly.

Cleaning garages and basements is something that teens can do well, which makes it a great business  for a teenager to start. There’s almost no overhead costs involved; just the cost of advertising, a good pair of shoes, and some good gloves.  Garage and basement cleaning might be the perfect business for you to start earning extra money right away!

To find your first clients, begin asking around your neighborhood and working for people you know. Once you starting showing off your skills, people will begin to see how good your work is and they’ll be willing to give you a try—and tell others about you as well.

A handyman service is great in tough economic times. People can’t afford to pay a licensed contractor for simple handy work.  When you show them that you can do many of the same repairs for a lot less money, your jobs will start rolling in.

When you run a handyman service, you can offer a number of services, but you must remember there are certain things you can’t do without the proper training and a license, such as electrical work and certain types of plumbing.

Also include pliers, side cutters, various nails and screws, etc. Of course, once you find your ‘specialty’ you’ll add the tools you’ll need for that particular task.

If you plan to do any painting, you’ll need paintbrushes in various sizes, paint rollers, and pans if your customers don’t provide them. Sometimes a customer will want their handyman to pick up the paint for the job.  If that’s the case, be sure you include the paint in the cost of the project if the customer doesn’t pay in advance.  Also, be sure to charge your customer for an agreed amount for your travel.

Many homeowners find themselves are in the middle of a project and find they just can’t finish the job in the time they have available to them. When this happens, homeowners will often look for someone to help them finish their project. This is a nice place to pick up handy work – offering to help someone in the middle of a repair project.  Watch your own neighborhood for these opportunities. Being in the right place at the right time is always helpful.

Post professional business flyers around town, hand out business cards, and even mail postcards to new people in the neighborhood to get the word out about your services.  Create a simple flyer that lists the projects you can do and continue to add to it each time you learn a new task. This will help people decide what jobs you can do for them. Hand several flyers and business cards out to every client you have and ask them to share them with friends they know may need your services.  Be sure to remind them to keep your business card so they know how to contact you when they need help again.

Do your best work every time and your customers will refer you to others and call you back for additional tasks. Be flexible in what you can do, and in your hours, and be dependable. Show up when you say you will. And work when you’re being paid to work. Building this type of business by word of mouth is the best form of advertising you can get, and it’s the least expensive as well.  Good will is your best marketing tool.

There are so many types of handyman jobs a teenager can do. If working with your hands is something you enjoy, don’t let anyone deter you from starting a handyman business because you’re not an adult yet.  A handyman service business can be perfect for a teen who is ambitious and handy!

Most people consider a pizza parlor or perhaps a Chinese restaurant for this sort of job.  However, you can approach any local restaurant, coffee shop, bakery, or even some smaller grocery stores and delis with a clever and creative idea or a business plan to start their own delivery service – with you behind the wheel, of course! 

You’ll want to have a good working knowledge of your neighborhood streets in order to get your deliveries to the customers on time. It’s always a good idea to keep a local map in your car. And, of course, if you have a GPS, that’s perfect.

Begin your business planning stages by finding out what establishments are paying their delivery people.  Call several food establishments and tell them you’re interested in becoming a food delivery person and you’re wondering what their starting wages are.

After you find out what the average wage is for local food delivery, it’s time to prepare a business proposal for the local restaurant(s) you hope to work for. Be realistic and as detailed as possible. Include the hours and days you’ll be available, what you’ll charge the company, what communities you can serve, and any other details you feel are important. Be sure to let them know you have car insurance and a valid state driver’s license.

Type your proposal up neatly and put on some clean business casual attire and visit the manager of the restaurant you’re hoping to sell. Be enthusiastic and positive. If the manager isn’t interested right away, don’t get discouraged.  Ask her if you can leave your proposal and resume in case she changes her mind. Ask her if you can check back in a few weeks to see if she has reconsidered.

You can do this with  each and every local food establishment in your area, but be sure to present a personalized business proposal to each individual restaurant – not a cookie cutter proposal. Remember, you’re looking for a job, in essence, so present yourself in a positive and businesslike fashion.

Some businesses will want to look at your car to see if they feel it’s dependable, and if it’s clean and looks decent. It doesn’t have to be the latest model, but it should be clean inside and out, and well maintained. You wouldn’t want to be out on a delivery and have your car break down.  If a customer doesn’t get their food order, your business will suffer, and you may actually lose your client.

The food establishments who have hired you may only need you on weekends, while others may prefer a weeknight. Be flexible. You may need to work for two or three restaurants in order to earn the income you need. Just remember to keep your schedule flexible enough that one job doesn’t interfere with another.

Always arrive on time and dressed appropriately. It may be frustrating when your friends invite you to the beach and you have to work.  That is a struggle for everyone who has a job, especially teens.  You’ll have to make some difficult choices in order to build a profitable business.  However, allow yourself time to have a social life because all work and no play is not a healthy lifestyle.

Now for a word of caution… never step inside a home when you’re on a delivery. Wait politely on the porch or patio for payment. If invited in, politely say that you’re not allowed to enter anyone’s home due to company policy. This “company policy” will prevent you from caving to peer pressure when delivering to the house of a friend who wants you to stay and visit.  But, more importantly, staying out of a customer’s house will help protect you from getting robbed or hurt. Safety is highest priority.

Having your own food delivery business can help you earn a good income. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, who knows, you may become the next Fortune 500 company offering jobs to hundreds of other teens delivering food for you!

To begin, you’ll want to create your own flyers promoting your  business. They could read something like, “Flyer Distribution Service available! Let us do the leg work for you. Your flyers distributed in and around our local community!”

You could ask local businesses if you could hang your flyers in their facility to jump start your business. Post them and deliver them everywhere you can think of. Each and every business and bulletin board in your town is an ideal start.

Stop by local church offices and let them know what you’re doing. Churches often need flyers posted for events they have coming up. Hospitals have blood drives or health screenings that need promotion. Local businesses have various specials coming up they want the public to know about. Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) halls have frequent events they want to invite people to. Individuals hold yard sales and they’d love some help promoting. All of these are fantastic opportunities for you to post flyers for others and earn money.

Be on the look out, and when you see a local event advertised, contact the person in charge and offer your services—for a fee, of course! Don’t be afraid to let a business owner or manager know you’re available to post flyers for them.

Craft stores and large home improvement stores often have a special craft going on. Offer to spread the word for a reasonable fee. Businesses often send an employee out to do this task, which takes him away from his job. Capitalize on this need and you’ll become an indispensable resource in your local community!

Decide on a price for your services, either a price per flyer, per stack of flyers (example: 25 flyers posted or delivered for a set fee) or based on distance or time. You could even offer a flat rate for the service and give everyone the same price. Just keep in mind your time, gasoline and wear on your vehicle.

You may want to concentrate on a specific type of business at first, perhaps smaller organizations, just to get started.  Then, as you become more comfortable, you may want to offer your services to larger organizations.

Offering a copying or printing service may appeal to some customers who don’t want to waste their time running copies of their flyers.  Other groups will have their flyers all printed and ready for you to distribute.

Depending on where you’ll be posting flyers for your clients, you’ll need a few supplies such as the type of staple gun found in the home repair section of a hardware store.  Also, stock up on thumb tacks and sturdy tape. Of course, some flyers will be just passed out instead of posted.

Some businesses will want you to put flyers up all over town while others may prefer only specific areas. Pay close attention to the client’s directions, be flexible and willing to go the extra mile and your client will remember you for the next big event.

If the client is leaving the distribution of flyers to your discretion, remember the places you’ve seen flyers, like on your windshield.  Distributing flyers in large parking lots on car windshields is a great way to get a lot of flyers out there quickly. Canvas specific neighborhoods and go with a friend to hand out flyers to everyone you see.  In your own neighborhood you may even want to go door to door.

Do you enjoy writing? If so you may want to consider making money online writing for others. You may choose to market your own articles via a content site, you may choose to search for individual clients via discussion forums, twitter and other websites.

Whichever approach you take, be sure your articles are well-written, and that you’ve researched your topic well enough to know what you’re writing about. Write in casual language so your writing doesn’t sound stiff and too formal.  Be sure your writing makes sense and offers valuable information for your clients.

Be dependable and always follow-through. If you promise an article by 5:00 Friday, have it to the client. If a real emergency comes up (no, hanging out with your friends at the mall doesn’t constitute an emergency, even if it feels that way), let your client know ASAP.  A quick email to your client with an explanation will keep you in good favor with your client.  If you just don’t deliver your article on time and then try to explain, you will lose credibility.

There will be times when you may not be able to meet a deadline, but they should be few and far between and you should communicate well with your client so they understand what’s happening at all times.  Building a reputation for dependability is one of the best things you can do to kick-start your online writing career.

The easiest way to get a few “clips” (samples of your writing) under your belt, is to write a few guest posts for a blog you read often. That way, you know what the readers like, and you know the blog topic well. That will make it easier to provide quality content for the blog owner. Comment frequently on the blog so the blog owner gets to know you.

Then, approach the blog owner and let her/him know you’re interested in writing a guest post (for free) and discuss the topic.  Be sure to agree on a specific topic, something you know about within the subject matter of the blog.  Agree on the length of the post, the exact topic, and how long your resource box should be (short bio at the end that includes information about you, the writer). Also be sure that your resource contains a live link to your email or to your own blog.

When you’re doing guest posts, don’t do too many of them. You don’t want to take up all your time writing for nothing. But do a few, maybe 8-10, so you can provide potential clients with some good links to check out your work.  What you are doing with guest blogging is providing website owners a glimpse at your writing. 

Always search for “do follow” blogs – those that make the link to your post visible to the search engines. You can do this by Googling “do-follow blogs.” You’ll find several to choose from.

Start your own blog and post several times to week. That’s another great way to get your writing noticed and gain some followers. Include in your bio that you are a writer who is very much available for hire.

Promote yourself through Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites. But don’t be overly aggressive with your posting. One post a day letting others know you’re available for freelance writing  should suffice.

You can sign up with sites like Freelance or Elance, but the competition is stiff. You might get a few jobs, but the pay is typically very low and seldom worth the effort.

Realize that writing is a craft and it can be learned just like anything else. Read all you can about writing well and about blogging, and become an expert at both. Don’t let being young hinder you… you can be a young, professional writer and make real money writing articles and blog posts for pay!

Danette: I love to wear jewelry but my mom could never find sterling silver jewelry that was cute and that also fit my wrist so that inspired me to make sterling silver jewelry for other girls all around the world. Sarah: When did you start thinking about starting your own business and becoming an entrepreneur and why did you want to start?

Danette: I started thinking about starting my own business when I was five. So my mom would give me little business tasks to do around the house until I was old enough to control a healthy business. Finally after three years of tasks I was ready to start working on my business.

Sarah: Where did you come up with your idea and what investigation did you do to help you know that this would be a great business?

Danette: My idea came from my own difficulty of finding sterling silver jewelry that fit my wrist. I knew this would be a great idea because almost every girl likes to wear jewelry, so it would be a good market to go in since there is a lot of demand but barely any service. Also if my mom had a hard time finding sterling silver jewelry that fit then I know that most likely other parents are having trouble as well.

Sarah: What do you think are the most important skills you have that help you in business?

Danette: Four skills that helped me in my business were aspiration, inspiration, flexibility, and willingness. Aspiration was helpful in my business because if you don’t have the drive and motivation to do something then most of the time it won’t get done. Inspiration helped my business because my reason for making jewelry gave me an extra boost of motivation. Flexibility was helpful to my business because you always need a plan, since you are going to have to adjust to your surroundings. Like my mom says “You should always have a plan A, B, C, D, E and maybe even more depending on the situation. Lastly, willingness was helpful in my business because if you are not willing to be flexible or network with people, it will really hold you back.

Sarah: What were the biggest obstacles, problems you had in getting started in business?

Danette: The biggest obstacle I had was just getting out there and being willing to try new things and ideas. Our human nature wants to go the way that we know, though that might not always be the best way. So, just be willing to try new ideas that people give you even though that’s not the way you were taught. Who knows the new way might be more productive.

Sarah: How old were you when you started and how old are you now? How does your age affect your business success?

Danette: When I started my business I was 9 years old and now I am 13. I think that it was difficult at first for people to build trust in my jewelry but after the first couple of sales it was a lot easier because people felt more comfortable. At first most of the people that brought my jewelry were people I knew and as I built reliability people started blowing in like the wind. I think now that I am thirteen it will be a little easier to sell my product.

Sarah: What about college? Are you planning on going?

Danette: Yes, I am definitely planning on going to college but I haven’t decided where I would like to go or what I would like to major in. Currently I would like to be a speaker, model, and a fashion designer. When I get older I want to travel around the world speaking about youth success and I also want to take my business to the next level by adding clothes, shoes, purses etc. to my collection of jewelry. I would like to have my own online boutique.

Sarah: What kind of expenses or start-up costs did you have when you started your business and where did you find the money or capital to start?

Danette: To start my business I needed a work station, storage for supplies, and tools for my crafts. Those were the major costs I needed to get started, so overall it was about $1000 and that all came from my mom. All of my start-up costs came from my mom but now a partial amount of the money I make from selling jewelry goes back into my business. My mom still provides financial support in my business.

Sarah: What have been the best surprises that you found in starting your business?

Danette: Judge Hatchett came to my city to speak twice. The first time I met Judge Hatchett I presented a bracelet that was black and white to match her judicial robe and in return she sent me a handwritten thank-you letter. The second time I saw Judge Hatchett I presented another bracelet to her and she also called me on stage and talked about my business to about 150 people. Also I got to attend the 2010 Glazer/ Kennedy Super Conference and while I was there I got to host a youth entrepreneur pizza party with my mom. I also got to design and sell a 5th grade graduation bracelet for my elementary school. Lastly I designed 3 bracelets exclusively for Girls Inc.

Sarah: Do you do EVERYTHING by yourself or do you have people on your team that work with you? If so – how did you find people to help you along the way?

Danette: Most of it like making the jewelry and designing it etc., I do by myself but I also have the help of my mom with things that involve finances. Then things like my website my mom does that as well. One day I will have more things I have to do but for now I focus on jewelry making & designing, advertising, and other jobs that don’t involve things that I am not old enough for like filing sales taxes etc.

Sarah: What ideas and approaches do you use to market your business and what do you find works best for you in getting the word out about who you are and what you are doing?

Danette: I attend cheering competitions and so there is basically a stadium full of mostly girls who would absolutely love to have a custom made bracelet with their team colors. So it is kind of a straight shot, which you won’t always have. I also advertise everywhere I go by wearing my bracelets; therefore, if they like it I can tell them that I made it and most of the time they will buy a bracelet.

Sarah: How do you balance it all? Do you find that you still have time to be a kid?

Danette: Yes, I still have time to be a kid and do things like go to the mall or the movies or hang out with my friends. Although there still are blocks of time where I do have to sit down and work on designing new bracelets, filling orders or checking supplies. But my mom is strict about my school work coming before fun or business.

Sarah: What is the best advice or tips you would like to share with young entrepreneurs?

Danette: One tip that I would like to share with the youth is that, there are going to be things you don’t want to do but in the end all your hard work will pay off, so don’t give up. I chose this tip because I have times when I really just don’t want to do something but when I do it and get it over with then I can go and do whatever I want to do. That also comes in with time management so if you want to go to the movies or the mall you can but when you get back you have to work on whatever it is that you need to work on.

Step #3 What To Do Now?

You may be thinking, “wow, this is neat, now where is my dream business?”

Well, here is another important step you can take to get your desired business results.

You have to learn that statement and be able to state it out loud whenever you think about it.

Be certain to:

Sate and FEEL your statement 3 times a day: 1. First thing in the morning. 2. Midday 3. And right before you go to bed.

You can start off reading this statement, but eventually you are going to want to be able to repeat your desired statement from the heart.

The most IMPORTANT thing you want to make sure you do when saying your statement out loud is to feel the feelings of having those things you desire while you are reading.

For some of you, who are already familiar with The Law of Attraction, may already know that the feeling in your statement is the driving force in establishing your desires.

And for those of you who do not know this: THE FEELING IS THE DRIVING FORCE IN ESTABLISHING YOUR DESIRES!

Excuse that bad netiquette, but this is one of the most forgotten facts when trying to attract anything through the Law of Attraction. It is sometimes the only reason why some people are failing at the Law of Attraction. You have to put feeling into it.

This may seem odd at first and you may not believe the statements that you are faithfully stating everyday, but that is the point of this exercise. You have to come to the belief that you can be, do, or have anything you want in your business.

There are only two ways you can establish your beliefs. Through Impact and Repetition.

This exercise is helping you through Repetition…You add the feelings…and reap the benefits.

Guess what? There is one more important fact I want to introduce you to. It is common sense and even those who do not complete this step already know that it is needed, yet so many people fail to do it. And that is…Take Action.

Taking Action is an important step when building your business while using the Law of Attraction, yet most people ignore this fact. Some expect for techniques like the one above to be all that is needed to make this happen.

Taking Action:

If you think that this is all that is needed to establish your business, you are up to a rude awakening. Now, no one said that your Action had to be hard or painful, but there is always action when receiving. When you are wanting to receive this dream business of yours, realize that you will always have to act to receive. Action can be as small as holding a door open for someone who in turns, offer you a business proposition just by her instincts. Action can be as big as working 12 hours a day for a month to get a huge and successful business off the ground. If you are doing everything right, Action should for the most part, feel effortless. I love the word EFFORTLESS!

You may have done a lot of work during those 12 hours a day, but having that work feel fun and exciting is what you are looking for. Make it feel good by taking inspired action and enjoy your journey!

I tell people, act like you already have it. Do the things you would do if you were already there. That is most if not all Law of Attraction teachers preach out there.

Contrast for Clarity is simple, but this is one of the most important steps in showing the Universe what it is you want. If you give the Universe mixed thoughts and feelings, the results or what manifests will be an exact match (mixed) and therefore not being exactly what you really want. So, lets take a look at Step 1!

On the top of a sheet of paper write “My Ideal ______” This could be your Ideal Clients, Business Partners, Advertising, or anything you feel as though it needs some working on. It is good to break your business down into sections like these so that you can take the time to look at what you don’t want and what you do want at each portion of your business.

Fold the paper evenly one time so that you have two long columns with the longest part of the paper being the two columns

On the left side of the paper you are to write what it is you do not like about your business (i.e. For “My Ideal Clients”, I may write, “I do not want clients who are hard to find.”)

Do this step 5-10 times

I do realize that some areas of business may need more improvement than other sections, but 5 items should help get you to some great clarity for now and 10 should do the trick if you need it.

Also, do clarity for contrast step more than once for different areas of your business that you would like to work on. Some examples could be your clients, income, vacation time, or even your stress level. People desire many different things and will also need help in different areas. Some people may do well with attracting loads of money in their business, but are leading lousy businesses due to stressful events.

You know what you and your business needs the most.

Now you want to take each negative item and write out the positive statement on the other side of the paper next to the negative item (i.e. So, instead of the statement “I do not want clients who are hard to find”, write “Clients come frequently and easily” on the right hand side. This will give you the opposite of the negative thought.)

Remember that you want to do that for all the subjects that you feel needs improvement (i.e. “My Ideal Income”, “My Ideal Product”, “My Ideal Training”, “My Ideal Time Freedom”).

This is your business and you are the creator of your business. Take your time and realize that you can have whatever it is that you desire. Remember to DREAM BIG!

Here I will give you some basic details of what steps to take and what works for me. I will also include some references that I think are for the modern day people (Simple and Efficient Techniques that Work)

For those of you who do not know what the “Law of Attraction” is, read below:

The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like in its most simplest definition. What I mean is, if you hold thoughts of negative events within your mind, you are bound to experience those same events in your life.

The same works for positive thinking. If you are keeping wonderful and positive thoughts within your mind, you can bet that you will be receiving those thoughts in your life.

How does this relate to business? Well, some people know about the Law of Attraction and they also own their own businesses. Some people know about the Law of Attraction and they still think that they cannot build their own business. There are also some people who think that the Law of Attraction does not work for them within their business. Unfortunately, there are some people who know nothing about the Law of Attraction and are failing miserably in their business.

I have some good news. There are many people out there today who are teachers of this information. They link and lock in tools necessary to build your business and accomplish the results that you desire and deserve.

Once you start to learn how to implement the Law of Attraction in your business, you will start to be amazed by the results that come before you. People will start to show up in your life to help you accomplish your goals. Money will start to come in to help you with capital needs and you will start to see other things all around you that you did not see before you started to use the Law of Attraction.

There are three phases of business growth:

Phase 1 – Learning how to grow, how to get enough clients, and to get MORE clients.
Phase 2 – Overworked, the result of succeeding at Phase 1
Phase 3 – This was what everyone thought they wanted, but, since it wasn’t on their game plan just this way, most will never get here — having the money they want with the time to enjoy it with the people they want to enjoy it with.

Most business owners, coaches are the worst at this, have the blinders on in Phase 1. We’ve been conditioned from our previous experiences that “getting a job” is the way to go. However, there are a few of us that were brave enough to start our own business . . . or just maybe . . . we were forced out of the previous job and “coaching” became the next option.

But, just because we are running our own business, that didn’t change the mindset that we had to “create job security.” To create job security we have to “fill our hours with clients, lots of them.” The result is that we end up in the rat race of either Phase 1, where we are still trying to figure out how to make it happen, or, if by some happenstance we have succeeded at doing what we had in our game plan, filling the hours, we just might succeed at that.

But, we’ll wake up some day and discover that that was not what we wanted. We didn’t want to work so hard, and didn’t want to have the time to enjoy what we had . . . and that’s assuming that what we had accomplished actually supported us in the means we’d like to become accustomed. I’m frequently surprised at the low prices I’m hearing that some coaches are charging . . . because they are sure that if they charge more they won’t have enough clients, and as it is, there aren’t many.

To move to Phase 3 means that we must redesign our coaching business.

Selling one on one coaching can be hard for many, and it’s still selling one at a time. It’s one on one selling.

Where, selling mastermind groups at about 1/2 what you sell for one on one coaching, but doing it with 10 or more generates 5 times more income for the same hours, and is infinitely easier to sell . . . at least it is when you get your core marketing message right.

John, one of the coaches I coach, stopped selling his one on one coaching at thousands of dollars, and started selling mastermind groups at a few hundred dollars a month. He announced the mastermind group with a target ultimate outcome. He had targeted having 10 people, but within 3 weeks of just announcing it at some networking groups he had 30 people asking to join in. Easier to sell, and made him 15 times more for every hour spent.

Then he backed up and decided that he could do 2-3 of these every year for only a couple of hours a week and he’d hit his Phase 3 goal, having the kind of money he wanted, while having to the time to enjoy it.

There are lots of ways to redesign your coaching business to head for a Phase 3. Instead of trying to “fill your hours” find ways to work with more people even with reduced fees. it will be easier to sell, in fact you’ll start moving from one to one selling and marketing, and one to one coaching (which will fill your hours), toward one to many selling, marketing, and coaching where you’ll generate more while working less.

So where are you in your coaching business,

Phase 1 — still trying to figure out how to get enough clients,
Phase 2 – having figured it out but now working hard at it. Or
Phase 3 — having redesigned your business to make the money you want and having the time to enjoy it with those you want to enjoy it with.

Be aware of the competition, but don’t worry about it. Just stick to your own business plan, and you’ll be okay.

First of all, this may seem like commonsense in any marketing strategy, but commonsense is often not so common. If it were, more small business owners would understand that a simple logo sticker-however great that logo may be-is probably not going to go viral, except among folks who are already ravenously loyal to their cause.

One of these artworks happened to be by a seven-year old boy; it was a happy, blob-like person with a piece of pizza, accompanied by the words, in a childish scrawl, “I like Bob’s Pizza.”

This is the image that Bob chose to turn into an eye-catching, die-cut sticker-an image that seemed to strike a chord with both families and students, who appreciated the style and the humor. I’ve seen this sticker everywhere imaginable. I’ve also noticed a lot of people in Bob’s Pizza.

The moral of the story being: create a sticker that shows you understand your customers, and they will advertise your business far and wide-at virtually no expense to you.

2) Be Useful

Nearly everyone knows the old trick about putting a tip-calculator chart on the back of your business card, to encourage people to keep your cards in their wallets.

If the invention had been described in a printed publication anywhere in the world, or if it has been in public use or on sale in this country before the date that the applicant made his/her invention, a patent cannot be obtained. If the invention had been described in a printed publication anywhere, or has been in public use or on sale in this country more than one year before the date on which an application for patent is filed in this country, a patent cannot be obtained.

In this connection it is immaterial when the invention had been made, or whether the printed publication or public use was by the inventor himself/herself or by someone else. If the inventor describes the invention in a printed publication or uses the invention publicly, or places it on sale, he/she must apply for a patent before one year has gone by, otherwise any right to a patent for an invention will be lost. The inventor must file on the date of public use or disclosure, however, in order to preserve patent rights in many foreign countries.

According to the law, only the inventor may apply for a patent for his or her invention, with certain exceptions. If the inventor is dead, the application may be made by legal representatives, that is, the administrator or executor of the estate. If the inventor is insane, the application for patent for an invention may be made by a guardian. If an inventor refuses to apply for a patent for his or her inventions, or cannot be found, a joint inventor or, if there is no joint inventor available, a person having a proprietary interest in the invention may apply on behalf of the non-signing inventor.

If two or more persons make an invention jointly, they apply for a patent as joint inventors. A person who makes only a financial contribution for the invention is not a joint inventor and cannot be joined in the application as an inventor.

1. Have an honest conversation: With yourself! Before you begin the process of piecing together your business plans you really need to sit down and list your strengths and weaknesses.
